Today’s students must not only be prepared for future education and work, but for their role in the world around them. The Civics Matters Speakers’ Bureau creates a pathway for students to hear from a variety of civic leaders about the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors needed to engage as 21st century citizens.

How Does it Work?

Attorneys, elected and appointed officials, veterans and civic leaders can volunteer to share their time and expertise with students who will benefit from having civics brought to life through real-life stories and examples. Minnesota Civic Youth can provide presentation resources or speakers can suggest their own topic.
